Marilyn E. (Quartz) Lapps, age 79, of Mansfield, PA, died on Wednesday, January 13, 2021.  She was born on March 29, 1941 in Syracuse, NY, a daughter of the late George and Ruth (Lortie) Quartz and was the wife of the late Dr. A. Vernon Lapps.  Marilyn was employed for over 30 years at Mansfield University. She volunteered for many organizations, including the Mansfield Free Public Library, Santa’s Gift Bag, and Goodies for Our Troops.  She enjoyed gardening, reading, and traveling.  Marilyn is survived by a daughter and fiancé, Amy Ruth Bryan and Adam Gundy of Lock Haven, a sister, Carolyn Gosier of Watertown, NY, a sister-in-law, Beverly Quartz of Pulaski, NY, and several nieces and nephews.  A brother, William Quartz, preceded her in death.
