Charles E. Carleton, age 96, of Holiday, PA, died on Saturday, January 9, 2021.  He was born on July 13, 1924 in Hammond, PA a son of the late James J. and Ethel M. (Stermer) Carleton.  Charles was married for 66 years to R. Marie (Stevens) Carleton and was retired from Corning Glass Works, Wellsboro, PA after 43 years of service.  He was a member of the Middlebury Baptist Church and enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.  He is survived by three sons: Chris (Marion) Carleton of Poinciana, FL, Tim (Kathy) Carleton of Danville, PA, Rob (Barb) Carleton of Mansfield, PA, daughter: Jill (Kirk) Wheeler of Middlebury Center, PA, 12 grandchildren: Steve (Erika Arriola) Carleton, Mike Carleton, Dr. Amanda (Adam) Carleton Ferguson, Megan Carleton, Nikki Carleton, Casey (Jeremy Romaneo) Carleton, Kirk (Ashley) Wheeler, Kristi (Andy) Reynolds, Kelsie Wheeler, Kami (Ryan) Peet, Kiley Johnson, Rani (Alec) Simpson, 8 great grandchildren: Haley, Abby, Peyton, Hannah, Mya, Edith, Jameson and Hazel.  A private family funeral service will be held at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc. www.carletofh.com Wellsboro, PA with Rev. Dr. Todd Witmer officiating.  Interment will be in the Hammond Cemetery, Tioga, PA.  In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the Hammond Cemetery, 422 Cole Rd., Tioga, PA 16946.
